Making of Kirkkan
Every film has a journey behind the camera, and Kirkkan is no exception. Shot across stunning locations like the Government Guest House near Pothundy Dam, picturesque Piravom, and several other spots, the film captures the essence of Kerala’s landscapes while telling a deeply human story.
The film is directed and written by Josh, with a compelling story by Ullas Chemban. I was initially summoned to act in the movie, but fate had bigger plans — I soon found myself joining the production team, experiencing firsthand the intricate process of bringing a story to life.
Kirkkan boasts an extraordinary ensemble of talent. The national award-winning actors Salimkumar and Vijayaraghavan lent their unparalleled presence, while Kerala state award winners Kani Kusruthi and Anarkali Marikkar added depth and nuance to the narrative. Each actor’s performance elevated the film, making every scene resonate with authenticity.
Filming was a labor of love, with long hours and unpredictable conditions, yet the dedication of the cast and crew transformed every challenge into creativity. The locations, performances, and the team’s collective passion culminated in a film that speaks to the heart.
The making of Kirkkan is a story of collaboration, talent, and the magic that happens when the right people come together to tell the right story.
